Student Charged After False Alarm
PLEASANTVILLE - A student who pulled a fire alarm Wednesday afternoon at Pleasantville High School faces charges after being identified on security camera, school officials said.
The alarm was pulled about 4:30 p.m., said Bill Addis, head of security for the district. Officials then reviewed camera footage, and the student they identified was turned over to Pleasantville police. The unnamed student's charges include destruction of property and false public alarm, Addis said. It was the first fire alarm pulled this year, ever since the school upgraded and expanded its surveillance system, according to Addis.
