Fire Destroys P'ville Apartment

PLEASANTVILLE - A South Main Street apartment was destroyed by an early-morning blaze Saturday.
Shortly after 8:15 a.m., the Pleasantville Fire Department was called to a residence on South Main Street, where an apartment was already en- gulfed in flames, according to Lt. Chief Robert Hoffman.
It took crews from two fire engines about a half-hour to extinguish the fire.
Hoffman said the apartment was destroyed but that the fire was contained to the one apartment.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire was still being investitgated Saturday afternoon, but Hoffman said it appeared to be accidental.
