Press staff reports
A Mullica Township man was in critical condition Saturday night after his pickup truck flipped over into a front yard, police said.
The one-car accident happened Saturday evening at the intersection of Moores and Chestnut Avenues, police said. Raymond Gaunt, 40, was speeding down Moores Avenue when he lost control of his Ford Ranger truck, police said.
Gaunt's truck overturned and landed in the front yard of a home at the intersection, entrapping him. The Elwood Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to remove him, police said, and he was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Healthcare Center in Atlantic City.
A passenger, Thomas Keubler III, 27, also of Mullica Township, sustained facial injuries and was also sent to AtlantiCare, police said. His condition was not available.
Charges are pending, police said, and any witnesses are asked to contact the Mullica Police Department at 609-561-7600 or 965-1200.

MULLICA TOWNSHIP
Crash victims still in critical condition
A car-accident victim from the Nesco section remained hospitalized in critical condition Monday, and his passenger was listed in fair condition.
Raymond Gaunt, 40, was driving a mile from his home Saturday night when his Ford Ranger overturned at the T-intersection at the end of Moores Avenue. The truck landed in a yard.
The trapped Gaunt was removed with a mechanical extrication device and flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
Passenger Thomas Keubler III, also of Mullica, is there, too, with injuries to the face, officials said. His condition had been unavailable Sunday.
Police said they are awaiting blood-test results to show whether drugs or alcohol affected Gaunt, which could influence the charges against him. Gaunt will at least face a careless-driving charge, Lt. Paul Register said. Police have said the driver was speeding.
