According to Hammonton police Sgt. Kevin Friel, a 20-year-old Hammonton woman was driving north on Ninth Street at 8:25 p.m. when she struck a car heading west on South Egg Harbor Road. Friel said she failed to yield to the other car at the intersection.
She and a 13-year-old male passenger, also from Hammonton, were taken by ambulance to William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton and Cooper Medical Center in Camden, respectively. A second male passenger, a 16-year-old Folsom resident, was taken by helicopter to Cooper along with the 52-year-old driver of the second car, a Hammonton woman.
The injuries the four victims suffered were unspecified, Friel said, and their names were not released.
