SHAMONG TOWNSHIP - Authorities identified a 69-year-old woman who was killed Saturday when her car slammed into a tractor-trailer as Gloria Perone of Hammonton.

The accident occurred at 10:41 a.m. on Route 206 in Shamong Township, Burlington County. Perone was driving south when her car crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a truck driven by Hector Turcios, who was making a delivery in the area for Clean Tex Services Inc., State Police said.
"We're unsure of the reason why she crossed the roadway," said Trooper Darius Haff, of the Red Lion barracks. "She crossed over a double yellow line and struck the tractor-trailer."

Perone's identity was released by police Sunday, after her relatives were notified.

No charges were filed against Turcios, of West Orange, Essex County.

The accident remains under investigation.
