TWO MEN ARREST INVOLVING A FIRE AT THE SWEETWATER CASINO

On May 12th 2007 at 7:53 pm, Mullica Twp police officers and Mullica Twp Fire Depts were dispatched for a fire at the Sweetwater casino. Police investigation resulted in the arrest of two men: Joe Butler from Port Republic and Salvatore Wright from Cape Coral FL. Damage at Sweetwater consisted of two large dock boxes. Thanks to citizens on location and the fast response of the Fire dept, the fire was extinguished quickly with minimal damage. This fire was right next to a 500 gal gas tank.
