Woman Killed, Man Hurt in Motorcycle-Car Wreck

MULLICA TOWNSHIP - An unidentified female was killed Sunday afternoon when the motorcycle she was on collided with a car on Route 643 near the intersection with Route 612.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lt. Paul Register of the township Police Department.

A preliminary investigation found that the motorcycle, operated by an unidentified male, was traveling west on Route 643, known locally as Pleasant Mills Road, when it collided with a passenger vehicle heading east on Route 643 driven by Christopher Parks, 18, of Mullica Township, Register said.

The motorcycle operator was flown to the Regional Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, said Register, who did not know the extent of the victim's injuries. Parks was not injured in the collision.

Police had not issued any summonses as of Sunday night, Register said. The accident is still under investigation.
